I am so sorry to hear about Rich. He was truely a special person. He will be surely mised. Kelly and the girls, I am so sad for your loss. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. I am glad I was able to visit with you all this past week in OC, MD. As those thoughts will be forever in my memory. RIP, Brother

I was very sad and Shocked by the news of Rich's Tragic Passing. He was so funny and always made you feel welcome at the station. Kelly you and the girls are in my prayers. Rich will be truly missed.

I knew Rich when I was a kid hanging around the Fire Dept (31) with my Big Brother Little Pritchard. I can still remember him teasing me and always joking around with everyone. He was a great guy and he will be missed by everyone. He is a TRUE HERO!!!

Our thoughts are with you now and we are praying for you and the girls! What can one say about Richie....He was my EMT preceptor, and what I learned from him stayed with me. He was someone who could always make you smile no matter how crappy the situation.

I volunteer at 49 in PG, and I'm sure over the four years I've been around I've crossed paths with Rich at least once, whether it was in his capacity as a fellow volunteer or as a police officer. I was struck very hard and deeply saddened, as I'm sure everybody in the community is, by your loss. God bless, and have confidence that justice will be served to those who WELL deserve it.

I have been a volunteer in PG County for over 20 years. I did not get a chance to know Rich very well but I got to run some calls with Rich over the years and my impression of him was that The Beltsville Volunteer Fire Dept. should count themselfs very lucky to have such a wonderful person representing them. I do however know his wife Kelly and I just want to say my heart felt sympothy goes out to you and your children. You and your family will be in my prayers. My family passes along their deepest sympathies to Rich and his families. I grew up down the street from him and though I haven't seen him in over 20 years and I have many fond memories of him hanging out with my brother and his sister. Again my prayers are with you all.

My heart goes out to Rich's Family, Friends and the Beltsville VFD. Richard was an outstanding individual who constantly made people laugh and made work much more fun to be at. I was privileged to work with him at Silver Spring Ambulance and NASA Security before he got hired by the PGPD. Also got to run a few fires together! Richard you will be truly missed!! You SIR Touched So Many!!!!!!
