I heard of Rich's passing on the news today. I remember him from when I was a volunteer at Station 31 several years ago. He was a good guy - he made me laugh on more than one occasion and took the time to help me out at the station. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kelly, their daughters and the members of Station 31.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Cpl. Richard Findley and to the Officers and Members of the Beltsville VFD Companies 31 and 41, and also to the men and women of the Prince George's County Police Department.
Words can't describe this tremendous loss. Rick was lighter than life and always brought a smile or better, an outright laugh to almost every situation. He was a pure joy to have known and to have worked with. My deepest sympathy to his wife, children and entire extended family of Beltsville VFD, fire service and police service familites. "Rich, may you be at peace. at a far superior place now and forever."

Hello to Company 31,
I enjoyed spending some time browsing your site. The old pictures were especially cool, some people I even recognized. I was a member of 31 in the early 70's with guys like, Steve Corbin, Johnny Green, Tommy & Tim Thornton. As I recall, Louie K. was the volunteer chief. Great memories, great times together. Fred's across the street, Saturday night dances, cold Budweiser. Thanks guys, its great to see BVFD again.

My sincere condolences to the members of Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department for the loss of a great pioneer in the fire and rescue service, Bill Fleshman. Bill was indeed a role model for all to follow. He lead by action not just words . Beltsviile VFD has always been a strong organization and continues with this tradition and i know Bill was instrumental in the success today.
dam you guys run soo many calls how do you keep up with all those calls thats like more then 50 fire calls a day good job keep up the good work and good luck
