As units from Station 31 were being dispatched to Rhode Island Ave and Sunnyside Ave for a reported auto accident, PIO 800 advised he was on the scene reporting one trapped. Engine 311 and Ambulance 319 arrived and started patient care as Rescue Squad 14 completed the extrication. One patient was transported by ground to a local hospital and one patient was transported by Trooper 2 to a local trauma center.
