| Members of the Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department gathered today at station 31 to witness the dedication of New Engine 311 to our Charter Members and New Truck 31 to our Life Members.
There was a good turn out for this event and we were happy to have one of the three remaining Charter Members Stanley Bean attend this event, we also had the wife of Charter Member Clinton Bowman in attendance. Senior Life Members Tom Collins, Bill Lear, Louie Kavakos and John Coleman were in attendance also.
Members enjoyed an afternoon filled with a brief history of the department, the reading of the Charter and Life members names, a short history slid show and then the unveiling of the plaques placed on the engine and truck.
The members would like to thank the Ladies Auxiliary of the Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department for serving the refreshments. |
