Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Chairman of the Board Al Schwartz
September 26, 2022

It is with heartfelt sadness that the Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department announces the unexpected passing of active Deputy Fire Chief Charles "Trey" Kelso. Trey had more than 22 years of service as a Volunteer Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician in Prince George's County, he was a Fire Instructor for the University of Maryland Fire Rescue Institute, and was a founding member of the Maryland Chapter of the Firefighter Cancer Support Network. At this time arrangements have not been finalized. He will be greatly missed. We ask that you keep his family, friends, and colleagues in your prayers.

Memorial Service will be held at the Laurel VFD on Saturday October 8, 2022 at 1300hrs. After service a procession will go from Laurel VFD to Beltsville VFD.
