In 1967 The Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department purchased a new Ward LaFrance pumper, this unit served our department until it was retired in 2001. Throughout the years she has had several paint jobs and rehabs. This unit when delivered was all red and then red and white. In the early 1980 the units was sent to Hagerstown for a complete rehab including a new body installed.and she returned all white and stayed that way until the early to mid 90's when she was painted red and white again. In 2001 the department took deliver of a new Pierce Quantum pumper placing the 67 Ward out of service. She has ran many calls, pumping for days at a time on incidents, she has attended many parades and events including historic car shows, funerals and Santa Tours.

The department is happy to say we still have her and at this time she is getting some much needed TLC. The 67 Ward as she is known around the station will be painted solid red in the near future, she now has a home to sit in and will be forever a part of our history.

Below you will see some photo's of her throughout the years and including a much needed body rehab that is taking place now. We look forward to her returning home soon and we hope Santa will enjoy his ride.

Thank you Paul Quattro's Burtonsville Auto Body for working with us to make this happen.

Celebrating 70 years of service and always remembering our history.
