Units from Stations 31 and 41, and surrounding stations, were alerted to a house on fire just before 4 AM this morning. Engine 31 arrived on scene and reported that the entire second floor of the house was on fire. Through an aggressive attack the fire was contained and extinguished within 20 minutes. Extensive overhaul lasted for about 2 hours. One probationary firefighter sustained a broken hand while throwing ladders on the exterior of the home. One occupant of the house also sustained a non-life threatening injury as he self evacuated the home.
