On Sunday, June 21st Just after midnight,Truck 31 was alerted to respond to Oglethorpe street in Riverdale for an apartment fire. First arriving units reported a working fire on the roof. Truck 31 arrived as the 3rd due special service and was assigned to RIT as well as utility control. Chief 31 responded and operated as Battalion Chief 886 while Chief 31A responded and operated as the incident safety officer. Units on scene operated for about an hour and contained the fire to the roof area.

Engine Co. 31 and Ambulance Co. 31 remained staffed in quarters to answer calls for service in Beltsville.
