The members of the Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department bid farewell to Active life member Richard Findley today. Rich joined the Beltsville VFD in May 1988 and has been a dedicated member since he joined. Through his service he has held the rank of Lieutenant and was a member of the Board of Directors at the time of his death.
Our hearts are broken with our loss. We have lost a family member, a brother, a friend. You have touched our lives in so many ways and because of you we are a better department. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten, you WILL be with us forever and one day we will see you again.
The members of the Beltsville VFD would like to thank all that assisted the family and FD during this tragic event. The community support was instrumental and greatly appreciated by both the fire department as well as the family.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the numerous fire departments, and the Prince Georges County Police Department for their assistance in our time of need. The unselfish dedication and immediate volunteerism of anything needed shows the true meaning of brotherhood.
