Just after 1300hrs units were dispatched to the 9600 blk of Fort Meade Road for smoke coming from the apartment building, soon after the correct location was given of 14801 Bowie Road. Rescue Engine 49 arrived on the scene of a 3 story garden apartment building reporting a working fire, the crew advance a line into the basement where they found a fast moving fire that had extended into the Bravo exposure of 14803 Bowie Road. Truck 31 arrived on side Alpha of 14801 Bowie Road as the crew assisted Rescue Engine 49 and ground ladder placement on side Alpha. The Engine from 41 arrived and picked up the hydrant in front of 14805 Bowie Road and started Master stream operations. All 3 of the apartment buildings damaged on this incident were the same buildings that were damaged in the summer of 2007 and were still under major renovation and were vacant. This incident went to a 3rd Alarm with a Task Force. Units from Beltsville remained on the scene for over 4 hours.
