Members of the Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department went to work Thursday evening to prepare our wonderfully restored 1967 Ward LaFrance pumper to be Santa's Sleigh for the 2017 Santa Tour. Their efforts include remounting period firefighting equipment and the placement of special lights on the pumper body. Beltsville has owned and operated this 50 year old fire engine since it was new. No long actively used for firefighting it will be used for special events such as Santa and Mrs. Claus visiting Beltsville starting December 7th.
