Early this morning Engine 311 and Engine 411 were dispatched to the Quality Inn at One 2nd Street in Laurel for a report of smoke in the building. Units arrived on the scene reporting nothing showing, but quickly returned with heavy smoke on the 2nd floor. Engine 311 arrived picking up Maryland City supply line, the crew advanced the stand pipe pack to the 2nd floor where they located a small fire in one of the guest rooms making a quick attack units were able to contain the fire in one room. Engine 311 remained on the scene for over 2 hours assisting in overhaul.
